What is Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS)?

PBIS places an emphasis on school-wide systems of behavior supports for defining, teaching and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create a positive school environment. The Birney Bobcats have a continuum of positive behavior supports implemented within all areas within the school environments (classrooms, restrooms, hallways, etc). This system of positive supports encourages research-validated practices and the environments where high quality teaching and learning occur.
