Ms. Alvarez

Welcome to 3rd Grade!  My name is Roberta Alvarez and I am excited to be your child's teacher!   I have been teaching since 1997.  I am a South Bay native and I went to undergraduate school at UC Berkeley where I my wonderful husband.  I have a Master's degree from CSU Dominguez Hills in Curriculum and Instruction.  I have 2 sons and a lovable pup.  In our free time we enjoy bike rides on the strand, traveling and experiencing nature.   

 

Some of my favorite subjects to teach are math and social studies.  I love watching students develop as confident readers, artists and mathematicians. We are developing social and emotional skills as we build our classroom community.
