Principal's Message
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! Whether you’re returning to Birney or joining us for the very first time, we’re happy you’re here. Birney is a special place—and that’s because of the incredible people who make up our community: our students, staff, and families.
I’m honored to step into the role of principal this year. From my very first visit to campus, I felt the heart of this school—a deep commitment shared by all to do what’s best for our students. In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve already learned so much, and I know the most meaningful growth will come from learning alongside all of you. I’m grateful to be part of this incredible community—as your Principal and your Lead Learner.
At Birney, we believe in supporting the whole child. That means creating a learning environment that is safe, welcoming, and full of opportunities to grow—not only academically but also socially and emotionally. This year, we’ll continue to build on Birney’s strong foundation while exploring new ways to connect, collaborate, and support every student’s success.
To our new families—welcome! We’re so happy to have you with us. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, ask questions, and get involved with our staff, PTA, and the entire school community. Strong partnerships between home and school make all the difference, and we deeply value your voice and participation.
We’re eager to welcome our students back to campus. There’s so much to look forward to this year, and I’m excited to begin!
