FUNDRAISING AT BIRNEY

Birney relies upon the generosity of its family, community and businesses in order to provide the best educational experience for its students. We have a number of fundraising events scheduled throughout the school year to fund the PTA budget. If you have any ideas for fundraisers or would like to volunteer to assist us with our efforts, please contact the Birney PTA Board at [email protected] or any of the chairs listed under each of these events.

Spirit Wear

Spirit wear is sold during "flash" sales twice a year. Contact [email protected] if you have any questions.

Dining for Dollars

Birney holds Dining for Dollars events throughout the year at local restaurants. Take a night off from cooking and join other Birney families to raise funds for the school. You will receive information about each Dining for Dollars event in the weeks before it takes place.

Jog a Thon

Student participants jog as many laps as they can within a specified time period. Sponsors pledge money for participation. Students are awarded individually and by classroom for registering to join and raising the most money.

Carnival and Silent Auction

Birney's Annual Spring Carnival and Silent Auction will be held in the spring. If you would like more information on any of these programs please contact [email protected]

Farm Fresh to You

Did you know that Farm Fresh to You allows you to customize box size, delivery frequency, and what fruits and vegetables you want to receive? You can also add on farm products like dairy, eggs, and over 600 artisanal goods, like coffee, bread, olive oil, nuts, flowers, honey, cheeses, meats and meat substitutes, sweet treats. If you already have an account, you can simply log in and enter the promo code birney. The boxes will be delivered to your doorstep before 8:00 Thursday mornings. Birney earns 10% of all sales. Amazon Smile

If you are shopping on Amazon purchase through the Amazon Smile website https://smile.amazon.com/ and choose Birney's PTA as your charity (this only has to be done the first time). Amazon will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases for the PTA to use for student enrichment.

Cartridge Recycling

The school recycles empty ink and toner cartridges for money. Please turn in all empty ink cartridges to the bin the workroom or the front office.

NO FUSS FUNDRAISING

The following are easy ways to raise funds that benefit your children at Birney. They require little or no extra effort from you.

Amazon Smile - purchase through the Amazon Smile website https://smile.amazon.com/ and choose Birney's PTA as your charity (this only has to be done the first time). Amazon will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases for the PTA to use for student enrichment.

Ralphs - register your Ralphs Rewards Card and they will donate up to 4% of eligible purchases for the PTA to use for student enrichment. Registration instructions are here.

Employer matching - many employers will match your donations to Birney. Please check with yours.
