Learning Center
Welcome!
I’m Thembi Ramos, the Learning Center teacher, providing specialized academic instruction—a role I’ve proudly held since 2003. As a California native and Redondo Union High School (RUHS) alum—just like my tribe (adult children). I went on to earn a BA in Psychology and an Education Specialist credential from CSULB, and then a Master’s degree in Special Education from CSUDH. My journey into special education was inspired by my role as a mom to a son with special needs, which led me to a field that has felt like home ever since.
Personally, I am thrilled to be entering a new chapter as a proud grandmother—a promotion I truly cherish! Who knows… maybe there will be more future RUHS Seahawks in the family.
Each year, my team and I are dedicated to fostering our students’ growth—building the knowledge and skills needed to access core academic content and engage in the social life of school. Our goal is to partner with parents to make every year a great year for every learner!
