Ms. Hodges - First Grade - Room 9

I have been committed to education in some capacity for over twenty-six years.  I began as a teacher’s assistant while pursuing my degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in education at San Diego State University.  Since then I have taught an array of grades and subjects such as second grade, first grade, kindergarten, preschool, science, art, and drama as well as parent education.  This is my fourteenth year at Birney and my thirteenth year teaching first grade in Room 9. I am also the mother of two children, Cole (26) and Emma (22).  I am thrilled to be a member of the Birney community and looking forward to a great year with my new first grade class.
